About me

My name is Linda and I am a Norwegian artist with a great passion for pastel drawing.

My favorite motifs are animals and nature and I draw very realistically.

In my drawings you will find many details and beautiful colors.

I want the drawings to be alive, beautiful and create emotions, and you can see that there are many hours of work behind each drawing.

I have won many international art awards for many of my drawings, in fact a total of 38 art awards!

Feel free to follow me on social media.

My story

I have always been creative and and liked to draw and paint, and started with pastel drawing in 2021. I had to make changes in my life when I got chronic migraines, and drawing became my way of coping.

From the moment I tried pastel, I was hooked. It was my form of expression, I loved it.

Since then, I have developed through various courses and mentor groups with renowned artists.

It started with Anita Våmartveit in basic drawing and painting techniques, then with pastel artists Jason Morgan, Emma Colbert and Jeanne Rosier Smith.

Today I am in a mentor group through Mastrius, with pastel masters Julie and Michael Freeman as art mentors.

I have also a subscription with Carla Grace art to develope myself in acrylic  and oil painting, and membership with Michel James Smith and Dave Porter.

Animals are motifs in many of my drawings. I have always been fond of animals and through my art I want to contribute to support the work with conservation of endangered animals. That is why I draw many animals that are unfortunately threatened with extinction, both world animals and Norwegian animals.

I use reference photos as a starting point for the drawings, and always use photos with permission of the photographer.  Photo is the reference, but I change the composition, colors, details and objects based on what I want to express. My goal is to create a living expression.

I have always liked photography and want to take more reference photos myself. That`s why I invested in new photography equipment, and am looking forward too see and photograph more of the beautiful animals and nature myself.

I have won many awards in international art competitions and participated in several exhibitions.  In the gallery, when you click on the drawing, you will receive information about wheter the drawing has won an award.

Further down this page you will find an overview of all my art awards and exhibitions.

My art has been published in Pastel Journal-2023, World Wide Art Magazine "13-2023, Art&Color365 Magazine-winter/spring 2024 and Art%Color365 Magazine - summer/early fall 2024.

I am a member of The Association of Animal Artists, The Pastelguild of Europe (juried membership) and Lillestrøm art association.
